Starter Replacement

A new starter is needed if your try to start your vehicle and hear a click noise. Keep in mind that no noise may be evident.

When replacing a part on your vehicle, keep in mind that there is a level of quality for the part you purchase. So, you need a new starter; give your dealership a call and speak to the parts department. If a new starter for your vehicle costs $300, I don't recommend buying a starter for $80. If this is the only path you can take, please do. It’s recommended to buy a starter preferably close to the quote you received from the dealer or get the part from the dealer. Make sure to have a certified mechanic install that starter. You do need a certified mechanic, because they are not all plug and play. Some starters are hiding under an intake system or an exhaust system.
